DC-X is a boot disc for the Sega Dreamcast, used as a method of circumventing the system's default region encoding and allowing it to play imported games. Though many discs have this functionality (it is also possible to burn your own onto CD-Rs), the DC-X is perhaps the most common, selling primarily in Europe - the region with the most to gain from importing video games. However, the DC-X on its own is considered obsolete, as most cheat devices such as the Action Replay CDX or Xploder DC have similar functionality as well. - Can be used on Japanese/Asian console, USA console or European console. - Play imported games on your Dreamcast. - Needs no alternation to your console, does not affect the warranty. - Easy to use. Simply insert the DCX into your console and follow the onscreen instructions.
