Wildlife Park is a managerial strategy game similar to Zoo Tycoon: The player builds and manages an animal park to make money. The two most important keys to success are the visitors and the animals. The visitors expect a sensible structure of the park, meaning good accessibility of the compounds through pavements and a varied landscape, e.g. lakes or trees. Advised are additional businesses to get more of their money, e.g. gift shops or ice cream parlours. The animals on the other hand all have their special needs. This means it is not enough to just build different compounds, they need fitting flooring, buildings and fences. It is possible to buy already finished compounds but these are expensive. When animals are very happy they have sex and the player can sell their offspring for a lot of money. Lastly the park needs employees which take care of the everyday duties, e.g. zoo keepers or gardeners. The game also includes an ecological simulation of the park. Every individual animals has different statistics, they socialise, mate and age. Besides the free mode there is also a campaign with 20 missions (including four tutorials) where the player has to solve missions in pre-build parks, e.g. "90% satisfaction of the okapi" or a certain income after limited time.
